Create affiliate content with AI—and keep your own judgment

Use AI for structure and production help. Keep evidence, experience, and recommendations grounded in reality.

The most useful place to introduce AI is inside a clear editorial process. Start with the audience question and the evidence you have. Then ask a tool to help organize, draft, edit, or adapt it. Starting with “write a convincing review” before you know the product reverses that order.

Build a small evidence packet

Collect your actual notes, current official specifications, the audience’s constraints, product limitations, and any permitted original visuals. Mark which observations are yours and which come from the vendor. Record missing information instead of inviting a model to fill it in.

For a screen tutorial, run the workflow before writing the final script. For a physical product, show what you actually have. A generated image can illustrate a concept, but it should not masquerade as a photograph of a tested result.

A repeatable six-step workflow

  1. Brief: define the audience, question, format, and useful outcome.
  2. Outline: ask AI to organize only the supplied facts and flag gaps.
  3. Create: record, write, or design the original material.
  4. Edit: improve clarity, pacing, captions, and the next step.
  5. Check: verify claims, rights, disclosures, and link behavior.
  6. Publish and review: record the URL, date, offer, and questions received.

A prompt that preserves the evidence boundary

Using only these notes, draft a tutorial for [audience] about [task]. Separate observations from vendor claims. Flag anything missing. Include a limitation and a useful next step. Do not invent personal experience, product tests, testimonials, prices, or results.

Read the output against the source notes sentence by sentence. Fluent text can still be wrong. The person publishing remains responsible for what the audience sees.

Repurpose the idea, not just the transcript

A tutorial can become a short demonstration, a carousel showing decision criteria, a written checklist, and an email answering the most common follow-up. Each needs a complete idea and a suitable next step. A clip cut from the middle of a long video may lack the context required to be useful.

Make feedback specific

Ask a reviewer where they became confused, which claim needs evidence, and whether the next step follows naturally. Use that feedback to improve the process. Save a short style guide with examples of clear openings, useful comparisons, and claims you will not make.
