Cyber Monday 2026 for affiliates: what’s different, and how to prepare

Cyber Monday lands on Monday, November 30, 2026. It began as the online counterpart to in-store Black Friday shopping; today the two blur together, but Cyber Monday still tends to feature online-only promotions—and it’s a natural moment for software, subscriptions, courses, and other digital products.

Why it deserves its own plan

• Different offers. Software and subscription brands often run their biggest annual discounts around this weekend. If you recommend tools, this is your day.
• Different questions. “Is the annual plan worth it at this price?” and “What happens when the discount ends and it renews?” are more useful to answer than “what’s on sale.”
• Tired audiences. By Monday, inboxes are full. One clear, specific message beats another long roundup.

Prepare in October and early November

• Confirm the programs you’ll mention. Check whether recurring commissions, trial sign-ups, or upgrades qualify, and how refunds or chargebacks are handled.
• Write the renewal math now. For each tool, note the regular price, the likely promotional terms, and what a reader pays after year one. Update the numbers when offers go live.
• Record a short walkthrough. A screen recording of the one task the tool does well (and where it falls short) is more persuasive than a discount badge.

On the day

• Verify every offer before publishing or emailing it; promotional terms change.
• State end dates and renewal prices clearly so no one is surprised later.
• Keep disclosures next to the recommendation, and inside any video.
• Link to your evergreen comparison so people who aren’t ready to buy still get value.

Afterward

Subscription commissions can take longer to confirm, and some may reverse if customers cancel during a trial or refund window. Track pending versus approved amounts separately, and judge the result once the program’s reporting has settled.
