The fastest way to learn affiliate marketing is to make one useful thing and publish it. This plan breaks that into seven short sessions. Do one a day, or bundle them into a weekend.
Day 1: pick a question, not a niche
Write down five questions people have asked you recently about something you know well. Circle the one closest to a buying decision—“which one should I get?” is perfect. Need ideas? Browse the hot niche explorer.
Day 2: shortlist three products
For each, note who it’s for, one honest limitation, and roughly what it costs. If you haven’t used one, say so in your notes.
Day 3: check the programs
Find the official affiliate program for each product. Read the eligibility rules, commission basis, attribution window, payout threshold, and which channels are allowed. Our free Starter Kit has a program comparison worksheet.
Day 4: apply
Apply to one or two programs. Some approve quickly; others want to see existing content first. If you’re turned down, publish a few helpful pieces and reapply—or choose a program that accepts new creators.
Day 5: create one useful piece
Answer your question in the format you’re most comfortable with: a short article, a screen recording, a voiceover video, or a carousel. Include who it’s for, who should skip it, and a plain disclosure.
Day 6: publish and share once
Publish it where your audience already spends time. Share it in one place where it genuinely helps—not ten places where it doesn’t.
Day 7: write down what happened
Record the URL, date, views, and clicks. Note one thing you’d improve. That note is the start of your weekly review habit.
